Legal Researcher

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented legal researcher to support our attorneys in case preparation, legal research, and document drafting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent research capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research on various topics and legal issues
  • Analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal authorities
  • Prepare legal memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Assist attorneys in case preparation and strategy development
  • Review and summarize deposition transcripts and evidence
  • Maintain and organize case files and legal research databases
  • Monitor and report on legislative and regulatory developments
  • Assist in drafting correspondence and client communications

Qualifications

  • Law degree (LL.B) required
  • 1-3 years of legal research experience preferred
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in legal research databases and tools
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Nigerian law and legal procedures
